All residents of MA over 13 years old who have an email address[ can get an eCard in about five minutes](https://www.bpl.org/ecard) and start using it right away.  eCards can be used to access digital resources from the BPL. But if you want to borrow physical items, you can upgrade to a physical library card at any of our locations.

An eCard opens the door to free e-books and audiobooks; online database subscriptions; streaming music, television, and video; digital magazines and newspapers; online language learning programs, career resources, and more.
